REASON
The agency for national security (АНБ) is an independent and professional institution, which was established with the aim of protection of the constitutional order, national security and the interests of the Republic of North Macedonia.
Established in the 2019 year, АНБ is a logical step in the process of the reform of the security sector, in line with the european and euro-atlantic standards. The powers will be transferred from the former security services – Administration for security and counterintelligence (DEPARTMENT), which was within the framework of the Ministry of internal affairs.

THE MISSION OF THE AGENCY FOR NATIONAL SECURITY
The agency for national security, it is an autonomous body of the state government, has been established in order to protect the national security of the state, or for the protection of the independence, sovereignty, constitutional order, fundamental rights, and the rights of man and of the citizen guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia, as well as other matters of interest to the national security of the country.
The agency's own works are carried out in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia, the laws and the international agreements ratified in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The agency, in carrying out the activities of a legally established authority to act independently of, and without influence by the political parties.
THE DIRECTOR MR. BOJAN HRISTOVSKI
Jana Hristovski is on the third director of the Agency for national security. The position of the Agency, which is the successor of the former security service, is coming in October, 2024 year.
His career in the department, formerly part of the Ministry of internal affairs began in 2006, and most of the management positions in the it is situated on the year 2012.
For a short period of time, running out of the security services in the public sector, but over the year's work, remains committed to the security arrangements.
Hristovski, has completed post-graduate students of the Faculty of security at the University of St St. clement of Ohrid“ in 2019, in a paper on the topic related to the дерадикализација of foreign fighters as a part of the action in the fight against terrorism.
In the course of the nearly дводецениската professional career, Hristovski take part in a number of international workshops and study visits that some of the more important are those related to finance electronic market, a plan, and ЕЛЕА programs.
Hristovski, is married and is the father of two children.

THE AGENCY OF NATIONAL SECURITY
The law on the Agency for national security (АНБ) was adopted on the 22nd of may, 2019 year, the DEPARTMENT is abolished, and its responsibilities are established, and an independent АНБ. HISTORY
1944 – the Beginning of the office of the national security
