Within the framework of the agenda, today, the director of the Agency for national security, Jana Hristovski, attended the second meeting of the security Council at the office of the president Gordana Сиљановска-Давкова, which was opened a full-scale discussion of the current security challenges, climate risks, and the process of european integration.
The meeting, which lasted for more than two-and-a-half-hour, he passed in the dynamic exchange of information and views on the security issue in the world, as well as their impact on the region and the country. Besides the geopolitical tensions, particularly in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Serbia and montenegro, the participants agreed that a regional security, as well as the security situation in the country remains stable and under control.
Serious attention was paid to the increase in the number of fires in the country and the region.
The president Сиљановска-Давкова expressed concern that some of the fires, according to initial indications, may be deliberately induced. In relation to the european agenda, the members of the Council agreed that the eu, in particular in the area of the rule of law, and remained a key on the progress made in the EU. It was emphasized that the effective enforcement of the laws, and in compliance with the opinion of the Венецијанската commission and GRECO are of particular importance. It pointed to the need for the increased activity of the National council for european integration and the Committee on european affairs in the Parliament, in order to ensure a timely response and to promote a constructive dialogue about the eu's agenda.
The meeting ended with the conclusion and recommendations from all three of the items on the agenda, in which it was stated that the security Council will continue to regularly monitor, and the proposed measures in order to protect the security, stability and prosperity of the country.
